Desert Island Beauty Products!

So I thought that maybe I should get away from the magic of Christmas for a while and thought that this would be a good post as I'm still really new to this and thought that this post would give you more of an idea into me and how I roll. I only really have two desert island beauty products and they are both so cheap, versatile and work amazingly.
Number one, Vaseline. You may be thinking what a weirdo but this little pot does so much and works really well. Prepare for the list of uses. It removes eye make up and prevents skin around the eyes drying out, conditions and thickens lashes, cleanses skin, moisturises, can be a lip balm, nourishes nails and grooms brows. Wow. This £1 pot of joy basically solves all your problems. Also I use mine every day and it has lasted me for over six months!
Number two, Nivea Creme. Yes, I have mentioned this before but it is just so fabulous it needs mentioned again. It cleanses, moisturises, acts as a face mask and is a great body lotion. All without any nasty chemicals or colours. I also use this everyday and my £1.50 pot lasts me for over eight months! This goes on so nicely and makes your skin feel and look amazing, I would definitely recommend this.
So those are my two products I just couldn't live without. Both are utterly fabulous and affordable so definite favourites. I would love to hear about the products you can't live without so comment away

What is Wrong With Cheap Shampoo?!

So today I am addressing  a very big issue for me right now. I don't know if any of you have hear of the brand Alberto Balsam but they are a budget shampoo brand with a bottle only costing £1. Recently I have seen a lot of snide comments about how something that cheap can't be doing anything good to your hair. For my lovely international friends I'm sure you can think of a similar brand. I am a great believer in price isn't everything and I can tell that hands down this shampoo and conditioner works great! The reason its not as expensive is because it doesn't add in all these extra chemicals claiming to work miracles for your hair it just has the stuff you need and simple really is better. Ever heard that idea that if you don't wash your hair it will end up shinier and nicer eventually? Well this shampoo and shampoo's like it just testify to that. They don't have any unnecessary chemicals yet still smell fabulous and leave your hair looking and feeling nicer.
So rant over. I just feel that people are being put off by some people judging something by its price before even testing it. if you have any similar problems or disagree with me make sure to comment below your views are always appreciated.

Interesting Ways To Give Money As A Present

So have come up with some interesting ways to give money as a present recently and felt like I should share them with you. I know that quite often my friends give me absolutely nothing they want for Christmas and birthdays and I always feel like just money in an envelope is not that exciting so hopefully these will help you too.
  1. Money Chocolate Box-This is amazing its so simple yet looks amazing and all you really need is a box and some paper cases. You can put notes or coins amounting to however much you want. You could even throw in some chocolate money!
  2. Money Balloon - I think this really cute and really fun as well. You just need to pick their favourite colour of balloon and put some money into it before blowing it up and there you go. If you can get helium it looks even better!
  3. Open When Envelopes - These are adorable and allow you to be really creative. All you need to do is write "open when..." on an envelope, add and ending for example "... you need some chocolate" and simply put £1 in the envelope. The possibilities are endless, "...you want to go to the cinema" and way hey a tenner!
So that's it if you have any more ideas comment them below and I'll be sure to add them. As always ideas for posts are always welcome and make sure to follow me on bloglovin! Also if you have any questions about basically anything I'll be more than happy to answer.

Christmas Make Up Present!

So as I am feeling very festive at the moment I thought I would share with you lovely people one of my ideas for a friends Christmas present. I know that for a lot of make up lovers the gift sets are sometimes quite expensive and don't always have what you want in them so I have saved the day and come up with a solution. DIY make up sets!
The idea is to pick a few items your friends love, want or you think they'll love and put them in a box and decorate it yourself. For example I've made one for my friend with a Maybelline Baby Lips Hydrate, A Kate Moss Rimmel Lipstick and a Body Shop Passionberry Lip Balm. I just put them in a pretty box and tied it up with a ribbon and added a tag saying "Your very own lip collection".
I love this as I think your friends will really love the thought that's gone into it and this way there's no unwanted items in the set.  Of course it doesn't have to be lips, it could be body sprays or eye-shadow or even just a mix and match. The list is literally endless.
So that's my first little present idea and if you want more just comment below as always.

Advent Candles

So today as it's the first of December I wanted to do a more Christmassy post and one thing I really like having for advent but I know not a lot of people have or use is an advent candle. These are really just tall candles with numbers written down them and often a really cute design. The idea is that every day you light it until it gets the next number all the way until Christmas eve. I love these as they come in lots of different festive scents and is a change from the usual forms of counting the days till Christmas. Of course I still have my chocolate calender, I couldn't live without my daily chocolate!

You can buy these candles on-line and in some shops and they don't cost much, I think mine was £5.
I really hope you guys liked this and maybe some of you will even try an advent candle if so comment below and even if you don't try one you can still comment below.

What's In My Make Up Bag The Grand Finale!

Finally we have come to the end of our little tour around my every day make up bag and this time we're talking skin care and lips!
So first thing first this is one of my favourite products in the world due to its many many different uses. Nivea Creme. This little blue pot costs around £1.50 and lasts forever. I use it as a moisturiser and body lotion but the list of uses are endless. From cleansing to an amazing face mask this produce does everything. Well almost everything. I'm still waiting for a version that puts itself on while I don't have to do anything.
When it comes to spots I only have one solution and it works so well at such a great price I don't need to look for another. The Witch Blemish Stick costs £2.99, lasts forever (I've never had to replace it yet) and gets rid of spots so quickly its ridiculous. I carry this around so that whenever I find a spot all I have to do it roll some on and bam overnight it will either disappear or look much less visable!
Finally when it comes to lips I like to keep it natural so the only thing I wear everyday is one of my six Maybelline Baby Lips. I love these so much the tinted ones are perfect, just a hint of colour with a lot of caring moisture and the non tinted ones give my lips so much care. My two favourites are Cherry Me and Hydrate and they all cost £2.99 each.

So that concludes my everyday make up bag, I hope this has been helpful to you guys and as always any requests for blogs are gratefully received just comment below.

What's In My Make Up Bag - Part 2!

Welcome to part 2!
For those observant people out there who may have noticed I only just posted the first part I do not care!
So now I am onto the fabulous topic of products for your face but not to look after your face that's next time. So on we go but I should probably tell you that my face products differ quite a lot from some peoples as I don't use foundation everyday. I have quite clear skin so I don't see the need but for all you lovely people I will talk about foundation in a later post and no that doesn't mean in twenty minutes.

First things first concealer. I have a liquid one and a stick. I have the Maybelline Cover Stick in 001 Ivory which costs £2.99. I love this as I think it matches my skin perfectly and and covers all my annoying spots and blemishes. The only thing I need to say is to not rub it in but pat it in as if you rub it in it will rub off giving you no coverage whatsoever! Brilliant quality at a brilliant price!
My liquid one is from surprise surprise H and M! Yes I am surprised too. I picked it up as an emergency cover up for only £1.99 but it turned out to actually be quite good quality. It's just called CONCEALER by H and M and I have shade 17 soft nougat. I was really surprised to find it actually covered my spots and stayed on too, not what you would expect from a clothes shop concealer. I will definitely be buying this again as I cannot complain about either the price or the quality but once again you do have to pat this in rather than rub. Sorry I couldn't find a picture of this and mine has run out so I need to get some more:(

Finally powder! I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Powder in 002 medium. This gives me a really nice coverage, not a lot but what you would expect from a power and all for only £2.99. It stays on all day and goes on really easily.
I use my Seventeen blusher brush with this which I really love. Their brushes are so cheap yet don't wear out or get all thick and matted and it was only £3.
So that is my everyday face make up all for only £11 including the brush! I really hope you guys try some of these out but always remember try out the colours before as I have seen what happens if you don't. Not pretty!

What's In My Make Up Bag - Part 1

So I thought the best place to start would be what's in my everyday make up bag but to avoid a really long post I thought I'd split it into a few parts so here's part 1- eyes!

To start with, mascara. I use the Miss Sporty Studio Lash Incredi-Ball  Mascara in Black. This is a brand that is very cheap but is not always the best quality but if you look you will find some very good products! This mascara costs £2.99 and is incredible.
I personally love the brush shape but if you prefer another style they have a few options all for the same price. I think it goes on very nicely, stays on all day long and gives gorgeous volume. There is also a water proof version that is amazing for when I go swimming. Over all this is an amazing bargain and fabulous quality too it lasts for ages!

Next, eye-liner. I have two; a liquid liner and a pencil liner. My pencil liner is the Maybelline Master Drama Khol Liner in ultra black. This costs £2.99 and is amazing. It goes on so smoothly and easily and lasts all day still looking as black as it did when I put it on. For the price this is really good quality and I would really recommend it.

My liquid liner is also Miss Sporty but this time their Studio Lash Eye Liner in extra black. Once again it costs £2.99! I find that the Miss Sporty Studio Lash range is really good quality compared to their other products and this liner is no different. It's really easy to apply and goes on so smoothly with a really solid black colour lasting all day. This is good quality with a great price! What more could I want!

So there it is those three products are all the eye make up I wear on a day to day basis and all for only £9!

I hope this has given you guys an idea of the kind of products I like, fabulous quality with an even better price! Oh dear I sound like a tv advert.
